This programme is a professional course that provides a recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying, and offers a pathway towards becoming a registered Quantity Surveyor.
The programme emphasises creativity, rationalisation, and innovation. It focuses on the teaching of measurement of construction and legal issues and emphasises on training to improve technical, management and development skills. These skills enable students to absorb a wider range of knowledge, adapt to various conditions, and to solve problems creatively and innovatively.
Graduates of this programme will understand the co-relation between economics, technology, management and law, adding value to the financial and procurement management of construction projects.

Strong Foundation in Cost Management
- In-depth knowledge in measurement of building elements and cost estimating through modules such as Measurement and Estimating.
- Students work on Elemental Cost Analysis (ECA) for projects from consultants (every semester), producing data that will be used by designers and clients to control project cost.
Technical Focus
- Understanding of inter-relationship between technical and commercial elements of construction, through modules such as Construction Technology, Building Materials and Structures.
- Exposure to latest industry software such as Cost X Estimating (project costing tool) and BuildSoft & Master Build (construction software solution for estimation and job costing)
Business-Savvy Graduates
- In-depth exposure and understanding of business and management through modules such as Project Management, Management Science and Financial Management.
