As a group of 12, we performed an Elemental Cost Analysis (ECA) on a 20-storey apartment. It is built on an existing 4-storey car park and is one of the two blocks in the overall development. It has a specialised butterfly roof and a landscape on level 5A.


A) OVERVIEW OF THE BUILDING

Some of the apartment units consist of an outdoor terrace that is directly accessible from the unit itself.

The lift lobby size together with the building services is identical to a typical unit.
Staircases are located at both ends of the building.


Some special type of units include TYPE D as shown here.

Four pieces of butterfly roof structure span on top of the building.

B) GROSS FLOOR AREA (GFA) ANALYSIS

We then separated the various Net Floor Areas and calculated the total GFA. The example below is a typical floor plan from 9th floor to 22nd floor:
